The LSU GeoForAll Lab conducts research and teaches about open source geospatial science and tools. The lab meets bimonthly during the academic year for short presentations and discussions on research and methods using open source geospatial software. The lab develops open educational material, open data, and open source software.
Research projects include tangible interfaces for GIS, teaching spatial thinking, historical mapping, lidar and drone analytics, terrain and erosion modeling, wildlife corridor modeling, digital fabrication, and ecological robotics.
