Biography
I work as professor and researcher at the Research Center on Informatics in the Central University of Las Villas, Cuba. I research the topic of: Methods and tools for the visual analysis of huge data volumes. Scientific Visualization and Geographic Information Systems.
I am an enthusiast of Open Geospatial Technologies working in particular with gvSIG, QGIS, GRASS, GeoServer, PostGIS and R in my position as professor in the Research Center on Informatics (Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas). I have make strong efforts in promoting the use of open tools in my country, Cuba, as I did it outside my country, especially in Spain and Ecuador.
