Since 2007, we use open source spatial software like PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS, OpenLayers.
In 2011, we decided to develop as Open Source software the Lizmap solution. The design of Lizmap aimed to publish Web Mapping applications with QGIS. Lizmap uses QGIS Server and other OSGeo software. We started contributing to QGIS Server and became part of the team that maintains it. 3Liz became Lizmap editor and QGIS Server core developer.
We offer hosting services including : PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS Server and Lizmap Web Client. This activity started in 2016.
In December 2016, we participated in the QGIS developer meeting in Lyon. During the event, the community redesigned the QGIS Server code source to make it compatible with QGIS 3. This led to the development of innovative GIS server solutions Py-QGIS-Server and Py-QGIS-WPS. Of course these were open source. These solutions make it possible to offer hosting solutions that scales on demand.
3liz develops and maintains open source plugins based on QGIS, QGIS Server and Lizmap. Some of them are specific to the French law: Cadastre, water network, Naturaliz, bike routes and greenways…
